Distributor Subscriber Validation Services

Many market data vendors authorize certain of their licensees ("Distributors") receiving their data directly, or through one of their other licensees, to redistribute that data, through one or more products or services ("Distributor Services"), to end user licensees that are permitted to use the data for "internal use" only ("Distributor Subscriber").

Distributors are typically contractually required to report all Distributor Subscribers ("Distribution Report") in order to confirm that each Distributor Subscriber is appropriately licensed to receive and use the data.

Although our contract may be with the Licensor, as a neutral third-party we are able to facilitate timely, cooperative assistance, and our collection and maintenance of the Distributor Subscriber information on our own secured network serves to minimize confidentiality and privacy concerns.

We begin the engagement by reviewing the Distribution Agreement, taking the time to understand the reporting requirements, and auditing. We obtain a Distribution Report from Distributor and execute an automated comparison and cross-reference of the Distributor Report with the list of your licensees approved to receive the data to verify that all Distributor Subscribers are appropriately licensed. We verify the results manually and prepare a Validation Report identifying all Distributor Subscribers that are not appropriately licensed.
